The case for restraint
A landing page is not a billboard. It is a tool that turns interest into trust. The shortest path from a visitor's first scroll to their first decision is rarely paved with parallax effects.
Three rules we live by
- Whitespace is a feature. It tells the eye where to look.
- One headline does the work. Subheads support; they don't compete.
- Motion confirms, never decorates. Every animation should answer a question the user just asked.
These aren't dogma. They're conservative defaults that compound. We break them when there's a measurable reason to — and we measure.
